Michelle Villanueva-Skura is both a personal injury and criminal defense attorney with a passion for individual rights, government accountability, and personal freedom. Her background in insurance defense and personal injury makes Michelle an aggressive advocate for her clients. Michelle serves her community by defending its citizens’ rights and holding law enforcement and the prosecution to the standards imposed by both the state and federal Constitution.
Michelle earned her bachelors in Comparative Literature from the University of Miami in 1997. During her undergraduate years, Mrs. Skura studied abroad at the University of Oxford. Upon completing her undergraduate degree, Michelle worked as a licensed litigation examiner settling thousands of complex injury and wrongful death claims. Michelle left her career in claims to earn her Juris Doctorate graduating in the top of her class while receiving multiple CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for her achievement in subjects such as Insurance Litigation and Constitutional Law.
She is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, Maricopa County Bar Association, Los Abogados, and Hispanic National Bar Association. In her spare time, Michelle volunteers her time with the Latina Mentoring Project, advancing the Hispanic legal community, and the Arizona Animal Welfare League. Michelle is a bilingual member of our team which serves her well in assisting our clients’ needs.
Nelly Morales is passionate about immigration law and advocacy for DACA citizens. As a daughter of immigrants and a first-generation American Citizen, Nelly believes that the American Dream should be available for all who aspire to achieve it.
Currently Nelly focuses her immigration practice on USCIS with family petitions, adjustment of status, U-Visa and DACA renewal. She is also experienced in removal defense for detained and non-detained individuals in bond, credible fear review, cancellation of removal and asylum.
Nelly put herself through law school while working with her father in the Phoenix area and raising her daughter Barbra. During law school she focused her studies on immigration and immigration reform. Nelly can often be found volunteering with the Legal Aide center assisting indigent minorities unable to afford legal representation.
Ms. Morales obtained her justice studies degree with a minor in sociology from Arizona State University and then obtained her law degree. Nelly Morales is a zealous advocate for her clients and is fluent in English and Spanish.
